Healthcare Project for IV Patients
S+ provides a convenient and reliable solution for patients who suffer from having many IVs for multiple days. Air embolisms and blood flowing back into the IV frequently happen when it is changed too late or carelessly. This may cause heart issues or pain.
By simply bending the tube into an S shape, S+ ensures the IV solution will always stay at a safe level to prevent blood flowing back and air embolisms. ORIGIN : BEGAN WITH MY PANCREATITIS IN MARCH 2016
In March, 2016, I stayed in the hospital three times because of Pancreatitis.
Each time I needed to stay for 10-12 days. During those 2 months, I lost 20 kg.
WHAT A DISASTER I COULDN'T IMAGINE
As a Pancreatitis patient, I was not allowed to eat anything, or even drink water. All I could have was IVs.
12 bags a day. It took 18-22 hours to finish, and started again early the next morning.
MY HANDS WERE FULL OF BRUISES AND BLOOD CLOTS
My blood vessels were bruised because of the 20 hours-long injections and being stabbed by needles 12 times per day. During that time, I discovered a problem with the current design of the IV. That's how the S+ came to be.
