UX Design for a Better Warm Drinking Water Solution
STANCE is a water heating dispenser with RO filtration. With a patented sterilising and filtering system, the whole water flow path is sterile until dispensing. It provides users with a more hygienic warm drinking water solution than boiling water.
Through its design, STANCE aims to represent the purity of water, expressing meaningful design in every single element: an immaculate white and clean body with golden details, reminding users of the value of water.
STANCE is more than a kitchen appliance. It is not just a functional and high-tech product that allows users to have potable water at their favorite temperature, but is also a piece of design that brings Kohler quality to everyone's kitchen and a product that deserves the spotlight in the home.

THE JOYSTICK PROVIDES A MORE INTUITIVE USER EXPERIENCE
In order to create a deeper experience the attention is not simply focused on the aesthetic, particular consideration is
paid to the consumers’ experience. STANCE generates a new tactile connection with electronic devices, re-introducing physical control to operate the machine, inspired by the intuitive and familiar faucet language.
CONTENT-AWARENESS UI
The machine cleverly identifies your needs and shows information only when needed. The UI is simplified and optimised instead of showing complicated information all at once.
A MORE HYGIENIC WARM DRINKING WATER SOLUTION THAN BOILING WATER
UV lights sterilize a built-in water tank ensuring the water is pure and bacteria-free even when stored in a static state for
a long time. A glass nozzle with UV lights ensures the nozzle is sterile, and sterlizes the water flow through it. The whole water flow path is sterile and hygienic until dispensing.

The patented transparent glass nozzle is an elegant and hygienic piece.
ATTACHED MAGNETIC TRAY
Users can pour out dirty water and wash the tray easily. While using a pot with a big footprint, just simply remove the
tray and the pot can stably sit on the counter. Thanks to this design, the main body is gapless so it is easier to clean.
